TENNESSEE JUNIOR’S SPECIAL PROJECT
Advocates for Children

The objective of this project is to encourage members and others to be-come active advocates for children by working to prepare them or the future, protect them from harmful situations, and prevent substance abuse and youth suicide. Clubs are encouraged to distribute information on speech disorders, sun safety for kids from the Environmental Protection Agency, car seat safety on the WHALE project, and provide Emergency Medical Service coloring books to local ambulance services. To initiate positive parenting by the distribution of education materials provided by the Child Welfare League of America (COLA). And to distribute booklets to schools and teen centers on drug abuse, smoking and youth suicide.
