OBJECTIVE: promote and support all aspects of the arts in local communities.

SUGGESTED PROJECTS

• Support local theater groups

• Give music, drama, and/or art scholarships

• Collect and donate musical instruments for schools

• Establish and/or support “Artist-in-Residence” programs

• Support Art month and Music month in the schools

• Invite local artists and musicians to perform at club functions

• Promote local Very Special Arts programs for persons with disabilities (educational associate of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts)

• Help send senior citizens to high school and community theater productions

• Sponsor senior citizen, youth-at risk, incarcerated youth, and after school craft workshops

• Promote community film festivals
